The real-time, inane ramblings of a socially inept, 40-something, IT equivalent of a swiss army knife, blogger, podcaster, gamer, musician, wannabe novelist, movie nut, scifi fanboy, comic book afficionado, fledgling day trader, new media champion, and general cranky geek. Now updated hourly -- or better -- for your convenience and not intended to be interesting to anyone who doesn't know me personally (so don't bother pointing that out).

9/18/2007 7:30:00 AM So Long, and Thanks for All the Fish![]() Surely a sign of the coming apocalypse. The Four Horsemen are loose upon the Earth: Famine, Pestilence, War, and BSG80. And verily they arrive at Christmas ... truly a spit in the face of all that is good and holy. I realize there are some of you out there who are young enough not to know that this even exists, except in some vague rumor or obscure joke you might have seen on the Internet. I realize there are some of you out there who, understandably, think Edward James Olmos is the definitive Adama. I also know of several of you who have forgotten this gem and will no doubt mistakenly purchase this for your children thinking it is the much-loved original series that ran two years prior. Please, I implore you, read the packaging before making your purchase. Noah Hathaway as Boxey=Bad Enough; Kent McCord as Boxes=Unwatchable. And it's not that I want to deny Kent or Herbert Jefferson, Jr. their shot at collecting some additional royalty checks. I love those guys, and I loved Battlestar Galactica ... the original. But again, for those of you who are blissfully unaware or have purged the memory of this from your mind, shun this heresy and do no commerce with those who follow it's misguided ways. Never happened. Not in the cannon. Just a season-long dream sequence. As far as spinoffs go, this is not even "Joanie Loves Ciacci" or "The Ropers" quality here. I'm talking television viewing soooo bad that it sets a whole new scale for badness that is as bad as ... well ... something really bad. You know, Television Evil that can only be compared to "The Star Wars Holiday Special" or "The Brady Brides." I'm talking baaaad.
